Prolonged use on the face of high-potency corticosteroids can give rise to a corticosteroid-induced dermatitis. Treatment of large areas or under occlusion may give rise to systemic effects of corticosteroid therapy, particularly in infant & small child. Preferable to avoid use in infants & particular attention must be given to likelihood of spontaneous occlusion. Interrupt treatment in case of local intolerance. Avoid use during the 1st 3 mth of pregnancy. Caution when administered to nursing mothers.
