Dosage/Direction for Use
Acute duodenal ulcer 40 mg at night for up to 4-8 wk. Prophylaxis: 20 mg at night. Benign gastric ulcer 40 mg at night for up to 6-8 wk. Zollinger-Ellison syndrome Initially 20 mg qid.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Special Precautions
Exclude gastric malignancy. Renal & hepatic impairment. Pregnancy, lactation. Elderly.
Adverse Reactions
Constipation, diarrhea; headache, dizziness, fatigue.
