Ketoconazole

Indications/Uses

Superficial & deep mycoses, dermatophytic & systemic fungal infections. Infections of the skin, hair & nails induced by dermatophytes candida, paracoccidioides.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Infection of the skin, hair & nails by dermatophytes or yeast 1 tab daily until at least 1 wk after the symptoms have disappeared. Vag candidiasis 2 tab once daily for 5 days.

Administration

Should be taken with food.

Contraindications

Liver diseases.

Special Precautions

Pregnancy & lactation.

Adverse Reactions

Nausea, rash, pruritus. Hepatotoxicity, (rare).
