Contents
Orphenadrine citrate 35 mg, paracetamol 450 mg
Indications/Uses
Relaxes & inhibits striated muscle spasm; analgesia & antipyresis.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Administration
May be taken with or without food: May be taken w/ meals if GI discomfort occurs.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Not to be used in patients w/ glaucoma, achalasia, prostatic hypertrophy or bladder neck obstruction; myasthenia gravis.
Special Precautions
Discontinue at the 1st appearance of skin rash or any other sign of hypersensitivity. Use only if potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the foetus during pregnancy.
Adverse Reactions
Dry mouth, blurred vision, pupil dilatation, increased IOP; weakness, headache, dizziness; tachycardia, palpitations, transient syncope; nausea, vomiting, constipation, gastric irritation; urinary hesitancy & retention; urticaria & other dermatoses. Paracetamol: Rarely, acute generalised exanthematous pustulosis, SJS & TEN.
Drug Interactions
Orphenadrine citrate: Induced metabolism of aminopyrine, steroidal contraceptives, griseofulvin, hexobarbital & phenylbutazone. Potentiation of other anticholinergics. Paracetamol: Potentiated hepatotoxicity w/ phenobarb & alcohol. Decreased bioavailability in epileptic on anticonvulsants. May delay & reduce peak conc w/ despiramine. May increase risk of liver damage w/ doxorubicin. Increased t½ of chloramphenicol.
