Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride.
Each tablet contains Diphendydramine HCl 25 mg.
Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride is an antihistamine with sedative properties.
Excipients/Inactive Ingredients: Lactose, corn starch, polyvinylpyrolidone, magnesium stearate, opaseal, sucrose, calcium carbonate, talc, acacia, carnauba wax, beeswax, silicone fluid and colourings E171 and E127.
Paxidorm helps relieve temporary sleeplessness.
1 or 2 tablets half an hour before retiring or after retiring when sleep is not readily achieved.
If patient had taken too much Paxidorm, consult physician or hospital immediately.
Patient should not use Paxidorm if patient is sensitive to any of the ingredients or is suffering from porphyria.
Do not take with alcohol.
Do not exceed the stated dose.
If sleepiness persist, consult the physician.
If patient is taking any other sleep aids or drugs for the relief of anxiety; pregnant or trying to become pregnant or are breast feeding; suffering from prostatic hypertrophy, epilepsy, glaucoma or liver disease.
Effects on the Ability to Drive or Operate Machinery: Causes drowsiness. Do not drive or operate machinery.
Use in children: Not recommended for children under the age of 16.
Paxidorm may cause some minor unwanted side effects. These can include: Dryness of the mouth; dizziness, nausea, difficulty in passing water, allergic reactions such as skin rash, spontaneous bruising or bleeding.
If these effects are severe or persist for more than a few days then discontinue use of Paxidorm and consult physician. If patients experiences any unexpected side effects not mentioned previously, consult physician.
