Symptomatic treatment of seasonal or perennial rhinitis in adult & childn ≥2 yr; acute rhinosinusitis in adult & childn ≥12 yr w/o signs or symptoms of bacterial infection. Nasal polyps in adults ≥18 yr. Prevention of moderate to severe symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis when used 2-4 wk before the beginning of pollen season.
Seasonal & perennial rhinitisAdult & childn ≥12 yr 2 sprays into each nostril once daily, childn 2-11 yr 1 spray into each nostril once daily. Nasal polyps Adult >18 yr Initially 2 sprays into each nostril once daily, may be increased to 2 sprays into each nostril bd if symptoms are not controlled after 5-6 wk. Acute rhinosinusitis Adult & childn ≥12 yr2 sprays into each nostril bd.
TB (existing or history); herpes simplex infection of the eye; any type of infection (fungal, bacterial or viral); nasal sores; cystic fibrosis. Concomitant use w/ other corticosteroids (PO or inj). Benzalkonium Cl content may cause nasal irritation or swelling. May affect the ability to drive or use machines. Pregnancy & lactation. Long-term use at high doses may cause slowing of growth in childn.
