Scored tablet containing 1 mg of Lorazepam.
Lorans is indicated in moderate to severe anxiety states, tension states, anxiety in psychosomatic, organic or psychotic illness, insomnia due to anxiety.
Dosage should be individualized according to case. Usually recommended adult dosage is 1-8mg daily in divided doses.
Do not prescribe to subjects with previous history of sensitivity to Benzodiazepines.
As with all drugs of this type, patients should be advised that their reactions in driving, handling machinery, etc., may be modified. Avoid taking Lorans with alcoholic beverages. Usage during pregnancy or nursing has not been established.
Occasional confusion, headache, tiredness, hangover, drowsiness, nausea of transient nature have been reported.
Lorazepam interacts with Anesthetics (parenteral-local), Antihypertensives with. CNS depressant effects, CNS depressants, Antacids Antihypertensives or Diuretics used as antihypertensives, Calcium Channel blocking agents, Carbamazepine, Haloperidol, lsoniazid, Levodopa, Rifampicin.
