Indications/Uses
Severe keratitis in adult patients w/ dry eye disease. Severe vernal keratoconjunctivitis (VKC) in childn & adolescents from 4 to 18 yr old.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 1 drop once daily to the affected eye(s) at bedtime. Re-assess treatment at least every 6 mth. Childn from 4 yr & adolecents 1 drop qds to the affected eye(s) at morning, noon, afternoon & evening during VKC season.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Active or suspected ocular or peri-ocular infection.
Special Precautions
Patients w/ history of ocular herpes; glaucoma. Remove contact lenses before instillation & reinsert at wake-up time. Concomitant use w/ β-blockers & corticosteroids. Contains cetalkonium Cl. Moderate influence on the ability to drive & use machines. Not recommended during pregnancy. Lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Instillation site pain. Eyelid erythema, increased lacrimation, ocular hyperaemia, blurred vision, eyelid oedema, conjunctival hyperaemia, eye irritation & pain; instillation site irritation, erythema & lacrimation.
Drug Interactions
Potentiated effects w/ corticosteroids on the immune system.
