Contents
Per g Betamethasone dipropionate 0.64 mg, clotrimazole 10 mg, gentamicin sulfate 1 mg
Indications/Uses
Allergic inflammatory skin disease, skin mycosis, tinea versicolor, insect bite, skin disease by secondary bacterial infection.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply thin film to the affected area from once to several times daily.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. TB & most viral skin lesions particularly herpes simplex, vaccinia & varicella.
Special Precautions
Discontinue use if hypersensitivity reactions (eg, itching, flare, vesicle, urticaria) occur. Similar effect to systemic steroid therapy in large amount or long term therapy by occlusive dressing technique (ODT) may occur. Local adverse effect eg, skin atrophy, facial erythema may occur. Not for overdosage or ODT prolonged period therapy. Consider referral to an ophthalmologist if patient presents w/ symptoms eg, blurred vision or other visual disturbances; risk of central serous chorioretinopathy. Do not use in the eyes. Propyleneglycol content may cause allergic reaction. Discontinue use in case of no improvements or worsenings; as soon as possible improvements happen. Not for extensive use in large amounts for prolonged period in pregnant patients. Lactation. Maldevelopment effect w/ overdosage or ODT prolonged use in infant or childn.
Adverse Reactions
Local atrophy of the skin, striae, superficial vascular dilation; ototoxicity, nephrotoxicity; blurred vision.
Drug Interactions
Other potentially ototoxic or nephrotoxic drugs.
