Contents
Clotrimazole 1% w/w, hydrocortisone 1% w/w
Indications/Uses
Fungal & candidal infections when accompanied by pronounced inflammatory symptoms & itching.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply sparingly to affected parts & surrounding areas bd (morning & evening). Continue treatment for 2 wk.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Most viral skin infections, TB & acne rosacea.
Special Precautions
Discontinue use if irritation or sensitivity occurs. Avoid contact w/ eyes & mucous membranes. Monitor if no improvement is seen in 4 wk (for athlete's foot) or 2 wk (for jock itch). Consider referral to an ophthalmologist if patient presents w/ symptoms eg, blurred vision or other visual disturbances. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <2 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Stinging, burning, oedema, desquamation, pruritus, urticaria. Blurred vision.
