Treat infections of the nasal airways appropriately. Patients w/drawing from systemic steroid treatment & commencing therapy w/ intranasal fluticasone propionate. Additional therapy may be needed during abnormally heavy challenge of summer allergens. Systemic effects at high doses for prolonged periods may occur. Regularly monitor height of childn receiving prolonged treatment. Clinically significant adrenal suppression may result w/ higher than recommended doses. Consider referral to an ophthalmologist if patient presents w/ symptoms eg, blurred vision or other visual disturbances; risk of central serous chorioretinopathy. Avoid concomitant use w/ ritonavir. Pregnancy & lactation.
