Ferrous sulfate (equiv to elemental Fe 60 mg) 200 mg, thiamine mononitrate 10 mg, riboflavin 5 mg, pyridoxine HCl 5 mg, cyanocobalamin 20 mcg, folic acid 400 mcg
Indications/Uses
Prevention & treatment of Fe deficiency anemia w/ essential B-complex vit.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Administration
Should be taken with food.
Special Precautions
Ferrous sulfate: Anemia not due to Fe deficiency. Folic acid: May obscure the symptoms of pernicious anemia while neurological destruction is progressive.
Drug Interactions
May impair absorption w/ food; compd containing Ca & Mg, including antacids & mineral supplements, bicarbonates, carbonates, oxalates, or phosphates. May decrease absorption w/ Zn salts. Diminished absorption w/ tetracyclines. Toxic complexes may form w/ dimercaprol. May delay response w/ systemic chloramphenicol. Decreased absorption of cefdinir, bisphosphonates, entacapone, fluoroquinolones, levodopa, methyldopa, mycophenolate mofetil & penicillamine. May reduce efficacy of levothyroxine.
