Contents
Diosmin, Hesperidin.
Description
Each film-coated contains: Micronized purified flavonoid 500 mg corresponding to Diosmin 450 mg, Flavonoids expressed as Hesperidin 50 mg.
Indications/Uses
It is recommended for treating venous circulation disorders (swollen legs, pain, early morning restless legs) and for treating symptoms due to acute haemorrhoidal attack.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Usual Recommended Dose: Venous insufficiency: 2 tablets daily, 1 tablet at midday and 1 tablet in the evening, at mealtimes.
Hemorrhoidal Attack: the dose is 6 tablets per day and then 4 tablets per day for the next 3 days, at mealtimes.
Always take this medicine exactly as the doctor prescribed. Check with the doctor or pharmacist if not sure.
If taken more than the recommended dosage: an overdose of this medicine can make side effects worse. If the patient take more than Diosmin + Hesperidin than should, contact the doctor, health care provider or pharmacist.
Missed Dose: If the patient miss a dose, just take the next dose and the subsequent doses at the usual recommended schedule. Do not double the dose.
Consult Doctor: If any adverse reaction occurs.
If the patient have taken more than recommended dose.
If the patient is pregnant or think they are, or planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
Overdosage
No cases of overdose have been reported.
Contraindications
Diosmin + Hesperidin (Varicure) should not be used if hypersensitive to Diosmin + Hesperidin or to any excipients.
Special Precautions
If the hemorrhoid disorder persists for more than 15 days, it is essential to consult the doctor or health care provider.
This treatment for venous circulation disorder is at its most effective when combined with healthy lifestyle.
Avoid exposure to the sun, heat, standing for too long, excess weight.
Walking, and wearing appropriate stockings when applicable, promote blood circulation.
Tell the doctor, health care provider or pharmacist if the patient is taking or have recently taken any other medicines including medicines obtained without prescription (herbal or dietary supplements).
Use in Pregnancy & Lactation: If the patient discovers pregnancy during treatment, or if pregnant and plan to take this medicine ask the doctor or health care provider for advice.
Breastfeeding is inadvisable for the duration of the treatment, due to the absence of data on the passage of the medicine into breast milk. Ask the doctor, health care provider or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.

Adverse Reactions
Stop taking Diosmin + Hesperidin and contact the doctor immediately if any following symptoms that might indicate serious side effect: swelling of the face or mouth (angioedema) causing difficulty in breathing. The frequency of the symptoms is not known (cannot be estimated from the available data).
Other side effects are: Common (may affect up to 1 in 10 people): Nausea (feeling sick), vomiting (being sick), diarrhea, heartburn (indigestion).
Uncommon (may affect up to 1 in 100 people): Bleeding from the rectum caused by bowel inflammation (colitis).
Rare (may affect up to 1 in 1,000 people): Dizziness, headache, malaise (feeling unwell), itchy rash (urticaria), rash, itching.
Not known (frequency cannot be estimated from the available data): Swelling of the face, lips and eyelids (edema).
Drug Interactions
No interactions with food or with other medicines are known, but in any case patient should never take other medicines without consulting the doctor.
Storage
Store at temperatures not exceeding 30°C.
