Indications/Uses
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & childn over 12 yr 10 mL tid at intervals of at least 6 hr. Childn over 2 yr 1 mg/kg tid (3 mg/kg/day) at intervals of at least 6 hr. Childn 20-30 kg 5 mL tid, 10-20 kg 3 mL tid.
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach.
Special Precautions
Patients w/ serious renal insufficiency. Diabetics (10 mL contains 3.5 g sucrose). May impair ability to drive or operate machinery. Childn <24 mth.
Adverse Reactions
Nausea, vomiting, heartburn, abdominal discomfort, diarrhea; exhaustion, faintness, somnolence, clouding of consciousness (stupor), numbness, dizziness, headache; palpitations; hypersensitivity reactions (contains parabens).
