Recombinant human thrombopoietin

Indications/Uses

Management of thrombocytopenia in patients receiving myelosuppressive or myeloablative chemotherapy & in HIV-associated thrombocytopenia.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Given SC 6-24 hr after chemotherapy. 300 u/kg once everyday continually for 14 days.

Contraindications

Severe cardio-cerebral vascular angiopathy, blood agglutination or history of thrombosis.

Special Precautions

Blood routine exam made at fixed period. Pregnancy & lactation.

Adverse Reactions

Fever, shiver, discomfort from head to foot, fatigue, knee arthralgia, headache, dizziness, HTN.
