Remission inductionIV injAdult 0.8-1.6 mg/kg/day. Childn 0.6-2.3 mg/kg/day. To be given for 10 consecutive days. Continue up to 4 mg/kg/day until remission or toxicity occurs. IV infusion Initially 0.5-1 mg/kg/day. Continue up to 2 mg/kg/day until remission or toxicity occurs. Remission maintenanceIM or SC inj 1 mg/kg every wk or half a wk. Digestive system cancer, hysterocarcinoma, ovarian cancer, mastocarcinomaIV infusion 0.2-0.8 mg/kg once or twice for 1 wk. Local continuous intra-arterial infusion 0.2-0.4 mg/kg/day in combination w/ other anticancer drugs.
Other antineoplastic agents or radiotherapeutics may enhance bone marrow suppression effect of cytarabine. Concomitant use w/ other antineoplastic therapy may cause phlebitis, alopecia.
