Vit B1 250 mg, vit B6 250 mg, vit B12 500 mcg
Indications/Uses
Prevention & treatment of vit B1, B6 & B12 deficiencies due to increased requirements, reduced intake or absorption. Neuritis/neuropathies & polyneuritis/polyneuropathies due to vit B1, B6 or B12 deficiencies, to metabolic dysfunction (eg, in diabetes) or to treatment/intoxication caused by drugs (eg, INH, D-penicillamine & other vit B6 antagonists); as adjuvant in neuralgia, sciatica, lumbago (B12-containing prep only); convulsions caused by drugs of the semicarbazid, thiosemicarbazid or INH-type or by convulsions due to vit B6 deficiency; cardiomyopathies due to vit B1 deficiency (beriberi heart); as adjuvant in post-op vomiting or radiation sickness; acute & chronic alcohol intoxication.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & childn >12 yr 1 tab daily for 1 to up to several wk.
Administration
May be taken with or without food: May be taken w/ meals to reduce GI discomfort.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Renal or hepatic insufficiency. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <12 yr.
Special Precautions
Serious neurotoxicity associated w/ overdose.
Adverse Reactions
Diarrhea, dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting, GI & abdominal pain; allergic reaction, anaphylactic reaction & shock.
