Indications/Uses
Meniere's syndrome. Symptomatic treatment of vestibular vertigo.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 24-48 mg/day in divided doses. 8-mg tab 1-2 tab tid; 16-mg tab ½-1 tab tid; 24-mg tab 1 tab bid.
Administration
May be taken with or without food: Should be swallowed w/ water. May be taken w/ meals if GI discomfort occurs.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Pheochromocytoma.
Special Precautions
Carefully monitor patients w/ bronchial asthma & history of peptic ulcer. Pregnancy & lactation. Not recommended in childn <18 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Drug Interactions
Inhibition of metabolism w/ MAOIs including MAO subtype B (eg, selegiline). May affect efficacy w/ antihistamines.
