May experience symptoms of w/drawal eg, joint &/or muscular pain, lassitude, & depression initially during transfer from systemic corticosteroid; may unmask preexisting allergic conditions eg, allergic conjunctivitis & eczema. Should not be used in the presence of untreated localized infection involving the nasal mucosa. Recent nasal surgery or trauma. Examine periodically for possible changes in the nasal mucosa during long-term treatment. Discontinue therapy or appropriate treatment may be required if localized fungal infection of the nose or pharynx develops. May result to adrenal insufficiency during systemic corticosteroid w/drawal. Immunosuppressed patients. Increased IOP, visual disturbance. May cause reduction in growth velocity; routinely monitor the growth of ped patients. May affect ability to drive & operate machinery. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <6 yr.
