Prophylaxis of malaria
Adult: Usual dose: 200 mg once daily. Start chemoprophylaxis 1 week (or at least 2 days, if not possible) before travelling to a malaria-endemic area. Continue administration throughout exposure and for at least 4 weeks after leaving the area.
Child: <1 year 25 mg once daily; 1-4 years 50 mg once daily; 5-8 years 100 mg once daily; 9-14 years 150 mg once daily; >14 years Same as adult dose.
