Contents
Per mL Dexamethasone 1 mg, neomycin sulfate 3.5 mg, polymyxin B sulfate 1.25 mg. Per g Dexamethasone 1 mg, neomycin sulfate 3.5 mg, polymyxin B sulfate 750 mcg
Indications/Uses
Infectious ocular inflammations. Acute or chronic nonpurulent conjunctivitis & keratoconjunctivitis, nonspecific superficial keratitis, deep keratitis, acne rosacea keratitis, iridocyclitis, mild acute iritis, recurrent marginal ulceration & corneal ulcer, nonpurulent blepharitis, scleritis, episcleritis scleroconjunctivitis, herpes zoster ophthalmicus & post-op to aid in the prevention of ophth cases of infections.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Eye susp 1-2 drops in the conjunctival sac(s). Severe disease May be used hrly. Mild disease May be used up to 4-8 times daily. Eye oint Apply small amount into the conjunctival sac(s) up to tid-qid or may be used adjunctively w/ drops at bedtime.
Contraindications
Epithelial herpes simplex keratitis (dendritic keratitis), vaccinia, varicella, viral diseases of the cornea & conjunctiva, TB of the eye; fungal diseases of ocular structures. Not to be used after uncomplicated removal of corneal foreign body.
Special Precautions
Fungal infections of the cornea on long term application. Filtering blebs when used following cataract surgery. Pregnancy.
Adverse Reactions
Glaucoma w/ optic nerve damage, visual acuity & field defects, cataract formation, secondary ocular infection, perforation of the globe.
