Sertaconazole nitrate
Indications/Uses
Topical treatment of interdigital tinea pedis in immunocompetent patients ≥12 yr caused by Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, & Epidermophyton floccosum.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Interdigital tinea pedis Apply bid for 4 wk, sufficiently to cover both the affected areas between the toes & the immediately surrounding healthy skin.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to sertaconazole nitrate or to other imidazoles.
Special Precautions
Not for ophth, oral, or intravag use. Discontinue use if irritation develops. Cross-reactivity w/ azole antifungals. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <12 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Contact dermatitis, dry/burning skin, application site reaction, & skin tenderness.
