Ibuprofen
Indications/Uses
Relief of minor aches & pains associated w/ menstrual cycle eg, headache, muscular aches, back aches & menstrual cramps.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & childn >12 yr 200 mg every 4-6 hr. If pain persists, 400 mg may be taken but not >1,200 mg in 24 hr.
Administration
Should be taken with food: Take immediately after meals.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to ibuprofen or aspirin. Allergic reaction eg, asthma, swelling, shock or hives.
Special Precautions
Do not take for pain >10 days. CV, renal, hepatic disease; GI bleeding or GI bleeding disease. Do not use during pregnancy (3rd trimester).
