Indications/Uses
Peripheral neuropathies. Inj: Megaloblastic anemia due to vit B12 deficiency.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Peripheral neuropathies Tab Adult 3 tab daily into 3 divided doses. Amp 1 amp IM or IV 3 times/wk. Megaloblastic anemia Adult 1 amp IM or IV 3 times/wk. After 2 mth, reduced to single administration of 1 amp at 1-3 mth interval as maintenance.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Special Precautions
Discontinue if there is no response after >1 mth. Prolonged use of larger doses in patients whose occupation requires the handling of Hg or Hg compd. Inj: Discontinue if rash, headache & hot sensation, diaphoresis & pain at the site of IM inj occurs.
Adverse Reactions
Anorexia, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, anaphylactoid reaction eg, decrease in BP or dyspnea.
