Diphenhydramine HCl

Indications/Uses

Skin irritation in serum sickness, urticarial, hay fever, vasomotor rhinitis, nausea & vomiting, contact dermatitis, insect bites & parkinsonism.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Childn 1-5 yr 12.5-25 mg tid-qid, 6-10 yr 25-50 mg bid.

Administration

May be taken with or without food.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity. Premature & newborn infants, glaucoma, asthma attacks. MAOIs.

Special Precautions

Glaucoma & prostatic hypertrophy. Abstain from alcohol. May affect ability to drive or operate machinery.
