Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Special Precautions
Do not administer massive doses & prolonged use to patients whose occupation requires handling of Hg or Hg compd. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Digestive complaints like anorexia, nausea/vomiting, diarrhea & skin rash.
Drug Interactions
Absorption from GIT may be reduced by some drugs like ASA, histamine H2-antagonists & colchicines. Serum conc may be decreased by use of OCs. Effect in anemia may be attenuated w/ parenteral chloramphenicol.
