Transferring to another type or brand, changes in strength, species &/or method of manufacture of insulin. Uncorrected hypoglycemic or hyperglycemic reactions. Use of inadequate dosages or discontinuation of treatment. Presence of illness or emotional disturbances. Patients who undertake increased physical activity or change in the usual diet. Concomitant w/ pioglitazone especially in patients w/ risk factors for cardiac heart failure. Discontinue if any deterioration in cardiac symptoms occurs. Instruct patients to perform continuous rotation of the inj site to reduce the risk of developing lipodystrophy and cutaneous amyloidosis. Monitor blood glucose after change in inj site & consider dose adjustment of antidiabetics. May affect ability to drive or operate machinery. Renal & hepatic impairment. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn.
