IM Primary vaccination 2 doses of 0.5 mL at an interval of 2 mth or 3 doses of 0.5 mL at an interval of 1-2 mth (at least 4 wk apart). Booster vaccination At least 6 mth after last priming dose.
Allergic reaction to other diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, poliomyelitis, hepatitis B, or HiB containing vaccines, or to glutaraldehyde, formaldehyde, neomycin, streptomycin or polymyxin B. Anaphylactic reaction after administration. Encephalopathy w/in 7 days prior dose of pertussis vaccine. Uncontrolled neurological disorder or epilepsy.
Moderate or high temp or acute illness (eg, fever, sore throat, cough, cold or flu). Fever (≥40°C) w/ unidentifiable cause; collapse or shock-like state w/ hypotonic-hyporesponsive episode (drop in energy); persistent, inconsolable crying lasting ≥3 hr w/in 48 hr of vaccination. Convulsions w/ or w/o fever occurring w/in 3 days of vaccination. Guillain-Barre syndrome or brachial neuritis. Acute or chronic illness including chronic renal insufficiency or failure; undiagnosed illness of uncontrolled brain or epilepsy; any problems w/ blood caused by easy bruising or bleeding for longer time; patients having treatment that suppress immune system or has any disease that causes weak immune system.
