Contents
Fe fumarate 320 mg (equiv to elemental Fe 105 mg), vit E 30 IU, vit B1 10 mg, vit B2 10 mg, vit B6 5 mg, vit B12 50 mcg, vit B3 30 mg, vit C 500 mg
Indications/Uses
Nutritional supplement for the prevention & treatment of Fe deficiency anemia & vit B-complex deficiencies.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach: Best taken between meals. May be taken w/ meals to reduce GI discomfort.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Primary hemochromatosis, peptic ulcer, regional enteritis, ulcerative colitis.
Adverse Reactions
Fe: GI side effects eg, nausea, vomiting, bloating & upper abdominal discomfort; diarrhea, constipation. Temporary staining of teeth. Darker stool color. Vit C (prolonged intake & in excess of 2 g/day): Nausea, abdominal cramps, diarrhea, nose bleeds.
Drug Interactions
Reduced Fe absorption w/ antacids & tetracyclines. Delayed response to Fe therapy w/ chloramphenicol.
