Indications/Uses
Dosage/Direction for Use
Initially 1-2 mg daily, may be increased to 4 mg daily for maintenance.
Administration
Should be taken with food: Take shortly before or w/ the 1st main meal of the day.
Contraindications
Ketoacidosis; severe infection, trauma or other severe conditions where sulfonylurea is unlikely to control hyperglycemia.
Special Precautions
Adverse Reactions
GI disturbances eg, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, anorexia, diarrhea & metallic taste. Increased appetite, wt gain, rashes, pruritus.
