Indications/Uses
GI symptoms associated w/ functional dyspepsia & chronic gastritis (heartburn, nausea, vomiting).
Dosage/Direction for Use
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Patients w/ GI hemorrhage, mechanical obstruction or perforation.
Special Precautions
Should not be taken for >2 wk if no clinically therapeutic outcome is observed. Monitor & observe patient for any abnormality. Discontinue if malaise, anorexia, thick urine & conjunctive bulbi coloring yellow occurs. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn. Elderly.
Adverse Reactions
Diarrhea/loose stools, dry mouth, malaise, eosinophilia, increased triglycerides, AST (GOT), ALT (GPT), ALP, γ-GTP & bilirubin; fulminant hepatitis, hepatic dysfunction, jaundice; edema, leukopenia, abdominal pain, thirst, dysgeusia, nausea, vomiting, taste abnormality, palpitation, dizziness, light-headedness, malaise, headache.
Drug Interactions
Anticholinergic agents eg, atropine sulfate & butyl-scopolamine Br.
