Syncope. Examine patient before therapy in order to exclude the presence of other conditions, which can cause the same symptoms as BPH. Perform digital rectal exam & determination of PSA before treatment & at regular interval afterwards. Intraoperative floppy iris syndrome. Not recommended in patients w/ scheduled cataract surgery. Not to be given w/ strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (eg, ketoconazole) in patients w/ poor metaboliser CYP2D6 phenotype. Concomitant use w/ moderate (eg, erythromycin) CYP3A4 inhibitors. Dizziness can occur. Severe renal impairment (CrCl <10 mL/min). Not applicable in pregnancy & lactation. No relevant indication for use in childn.
