Levodropropizine
Indications/Uses
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & childn >12 yr 10 mL tid at interval of at least 6 hr, >2 yr 1 mg/kg tid at interval of at least 6 hr for 3 mg/kg total daily dose, 20-30 kg 5 mL tid, 10-20 kg 3 mL tid.
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach.
Contraindications
Excessive mucus discharge & limited mucociliary function. Severe hepatic impairment.
Special Precautions
Diabetics. Serious renal impairment. May impair ability to drive vehicles or operate machines. Childn <24 mth.
Adverse Reactions
Nausea, vomiting, heartburn, abdominal discomfort, diarrhea; exhaustion, faintness, somnolence, clouding of consciousness, numbness, dizziness, headache; palpitations; hypersensitivity reactions.
