Indications/Uses
Acute diarrhea ≤14 days duration due to infections, drugs or poisons. Chronic or persistent diarrhea >14 days duration. Treatment & prophylaxis of intestinal flora imbalance & resulting endogenous dysvitaminosis. Adjunctive treatment to help restore intestinal bacterial flora that has been altered by antibiotic or chemotherapy treatments. Acute & chronic GI disorders in breastfeeding infants caused by intoxication or intestinal flora imbalance w/ dysvitaminosis.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 2-3 bottles/day. Childn 2-11 yr & infant >1 mth 1-2 bottles/day. Administer doses at regular intervals (3-4 hr).
Administration
May be taken with or without food: Dilute contents of vial in sweetened water, milk, tea or orange juice.
Contraindications
Special Precautions
Do not inj or administer in any other way. Severe anaphylactic reactions may occur w/ incorrect route of administration. If used during antibiotic treatment, use in between 2 administrations of the antibiotic. Avoid in immunocompromised or severely ill patients, preterm infants.
Adverse Reactions
Hypersensitivity reactions including rash, hives & angioedema.
