Indications/Uses
Relief of inflammatory & pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply thinly to the affected area once or bid.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to betamethasone dipropionate & other corticosteroids.
Special Precautions
Reduce or discontinue use if HPA axis suppression is noted. Discontinue use & institute appropriate therapy if irritation develops. Not for ophth use. Visual disturbance has been reported w/ systemic & topical corticosteroids use. Occurrence of adrenal suppression especially in infants & childn. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Burning, itching, irritation, dryness, folliculitis, hypertrichosis, acneiform eruptions, hypopigmentation, perioral dermatitis, allergic contact dermatitis, skin maceration, secondary infection, skin atrophy, striae, miliaria & blurred vision.
