Indications/Uses
Infections due to staphylococci resistant benzylpenicillin including infection of skin & soft tissues, bones & joints, resp tract, urinary tract; otitis media, endocarditis septicemia & meningitis. For mixed streptococcal infections when the staphylococci are penicillin resistant. Prophylaxis of staphylococcal infections during major surgical procedures particularly in cardiothoracic & orthopaedic surgery.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Cap 1 cap qid. Powd for soln Childn 3-10 yr 10 mL, ≤2 yr 5 mL. To be taken 6-8 hrly.
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach: Take 1 hr before or 2 hr after meals.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to penicillins.

Adverse Reactions
Allergic reactions eg, skin rashes; angioedema, bronchospasm.
