Indications/Uses
Prevention of atherosclerotic events in patients w/ history of symptomatic atherosclerotic disease.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Severe renal impairment. Active pathological bleeding eg, peptic ulcer or intracranial hemorrhage. Lactation.
Special Precautions
Patients who may be at risk of increased bleeding from trauma, surgery or other pathological conditions. Discontinue use 7 days prior to surgery. Hepatic & renal impairment. Pregnancy.
Adverse Reactions
Hemorrhage, abdominal discomfort, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, vertigo, paresthesia, rash, pruritus, hepatic & biliary disorder, neutropenia.
Drug Interactions
Increased risk of bleeding w/ warfarin. GI blood loss w/ naproxen; NSAIDs.
