Contents
Fe 65 mg (equiv to Fe sulfate 200 mg), ascorbic acid 120 mg, niacinamide 20 mg, thiamine HCl 2.68 mg, pyridoxine HCl 2.44 mg, riboflavin phosphate 2.4 mg, folic acid 440 mcg, cyanocobalamin 12 mcg
Indications/Uses
Nutritional supplement for the prevention & treatment of Fe deficiency anemia & vit B-complex deficiencies.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Primary hemochromatosis, peptic ulcer, regional enteritis (eg, Crohn's disease), or ulcerative colitis.
Special Precautions
If the patient has symptoms of anemia (eg, fatigue, pale skin, fast heartbeat, shortness of breath, chest pain, dizziness).
Adverse Reactions
Nausea, diarrhea. Fe: GI effects eg, vomiting, bloating, & upper abdominal discomfort w/ high doses. Constipation. Vit C: Abdominal cramps & nose bleeds.
Drug Interactions
Reduced Fe absorption w/ antacids & tetracyclines. Delayed response to Fe therapy w/ chloramphenicol.
