Indications/Uses
Symptomatic treatment of seasonal & perennial allergic rhino-conjunctivitis & urticaria.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & adolescent ≥12 yr 20 mg once daily.
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach: Take 1 hr before or 2 hr after intake of food or fruit juice.
Contraindications
Special Precautions
Co-administration of P-glycoprotein inhibitors eg, ketoconazole, erythromycin, cyclosporine, ritonavir or diltiazem in patients w/ moderate or severe renal impairment. May impair ability to drive or operate machinery. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <12 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Somnolence, headache, dizziness & fatigue.
Drug Interactions
Decreased bioavailability w/ grapefruit juice. Increased AUC & Cmax w/ ketoconazole or erythromycin. Increased Cmax w/ diltiazem. Alcohol.
