History of local hypersensitivity to corticosteroids. W/draw gradually if manifestations of hypercortisolism (Cushing's syndrome) & reversible hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis suppression are observed & if there is spread of infection. Increased risk of systemic effects. Avoid abrupt w/drawal. Psoriasis. Prolonged application to face. Avoid contact w/ eyes. Increased risk of infection when use for the treatment of dermatitis in chronic leg ulcers & w/ use of occlusive dressings. Pregnancy & lactation. Infants & childn <12 yr (long-term & continuous use).
