Diphenhydramine HCl
Indications/Uses
Symptomatic relief of conditions including urticaria & angioedema, rhinitis & conjunctivitis, & in pruritic skin disorders.
Dosage/Direction for Use
10-50 mg IM/IV, max: 400 mg in 24 hr.
Contraindications
Asthma attacks, pulmonary emphysema, dyspnea, glaucoma & low urinary obstruction. Peptic ulcer. Convulsions & epilepsy. Childn <12 yr.
Special Precautions
Severe myasthenia gravis. Prolonged use. Insomnia. May impair ability to drive or operate machinery.
Drug Interactions
CNS depressants, MAOIs & alcohol; anticholinergics.
