Indications/Uses
Reduction of elevated IOP in patients w/ open angle glaucoma & ocular HTN; in paed patients w/ elevated IOP & paed glaucoma.
Dosage/Direction for Use
1 drop in the affected eye(s) once daily.
Contraindications
Special Precautions
Possibility of permanent change in eye colour. Patients w/ herpetic keratitis. Macular oedema in aphakic patients, in pseudophakic patients w/ torn posterior lens chamber lenses or in patients w/ known risk factors for cystoid macular oedema; predisposing factors for iritis/uveitis. Asthmatic patients. Periorbital skin discoloration. Benzalkonium Cl content may cause punctuate keratopathy &/or toxic ulcerative keratopathy. May affect ability to drive or operate machinery. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <1 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Increase iris pigmentation; mild to moderate conjunctival hyperaemia eye irritation; eyelash & vellus hair changes. Transient punctate epithelial erosions; blepharitis; eye pain.
Drug Interactions
Paradoxical elevations in IOP w/ other ophth prostaglandin analogues.
