Indications/Uses
Postmenopausal women w/ advanced stage breast cancer who had disease progression following tamoxifen or other antiestrogen treatment.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Premenopausal women. Severe renal impairment (CrCl <20 mL/min). Moderate or severe hepatic disease. Pregnancy & lactation.
Special Precautions
Premenopausal women. May decrease bone marrow density resulting in a possible increase risk of fracture. Perform bone marrow density assessment regularly & at the onset of treatment. May impair the ability to drive & operate machinery. Childn.
Adverse Reactions
GI disturbances including anorexia, nausea & vomiting & diarrhea; asthenia, hot flushes; dizziness; drowsiness; headache & rash.
Drug Interactions
Action may be diminished w/ oestrogen-containing therapies.
