Indications/Uses
Topical treatment of acne vulgaris in patients ≥9 yr. Cutaneous treatment of acne vulgaris of the face &/or trunk in patients ≥12 yr when many comedones, papules & pustules are present.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply a thin layer to the affected areas once daily (forehead, nose, chin, right & left cheeks) & all affected areas of the trunk once daily, in the evening, on clean & dry skin.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Pregnancy & women planning a pregnancy.
Special Precautions
Not for oral, ophth or intravag use. Avoid contact w/ the eyes, lips, paranasal creases, mucous membranes. Erythema, scaling, dryness, & stinging/burning; application to cuts, abrasions, or eczematous or sunburned skin; waxing as depilatory method on treated skin. Minimize unprotected exposure to UV rays (including sunlight & sunlamps). Contains propylene glycol which may cause skin irritation. Renal & hepatic impairment. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <9 yr. Elderly.
Adverse Reactions
Application site irritation & pruritus; sunburn.
Drug Interactions
May produce additive irritant effects w/ cosmetics or acne medications w/ desquamative, irritant or drying effects.
