Tetanus toxoid 5 Lf, diphtheria toxoid 2 Lf, pertussis toxoid 2.5 mcg, filamentous haemagglutinin 5 mcg, pertactin 3 mcg, fimbriae (AGG 2+3) 5 mcg
Indications/Uses
Active booster immunization for the prevention of tetanus diphtheria & pertussis (whooping cough) in childn ≥4 yr. Passive protection against pertussis in early infancy following maternal immunization during pregnancy.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Booster dose: 0.5 mL IM. Redose at 5-10 yr interval. May be administered to pregnant women during the second or third trimester to provide passive protection of infants against pertussis.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Acute neurological disorders.
Special Precautions
Hypersensitivity. Syncope. Do not administer by intravascular inj, ID or SC; should not be administered into the buttocks. Postpone vaccination in cases of acute or febrile disease. Hematoma. Do not administer in individuals w/ progressive or unstable neurological disorders, uncontrolled epilepsy or progressive encephalopathy; GBS. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <4 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Pain at inj site. Tiredness (in childn), headache (in adolescents & adults 18-64 yr). Myalgia. Fever.
Drug Interactions
May interfere w/ the development of expected immune response w/ immunosuppressive treatments.
