Indications/Uses
Resp disorders associated w/ productive cough & in the management of paracetamol overdosage.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 600 mg once daily or 200 mg bid-tid. Childn 100 mg bid-qid according to age.
Administration
May be taken with or without food: Empty sachet in a glass of water, stir w/ spoon if necessary, & drink immediately.
Contraindications
Special Precautions
Discontinue if generalized urticaria or other allergic symptoms appear, unless deemed essential & allergic symptoms can be controlled. Encephalopathy due to hepatic failure; discontinue treatment to avoid further administration of nitrogenous substances. Avoid use during pregnancy. Lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Hypersensitivity reactions including bronchospasm, angioedema, rashes & pruritus; hypotension or occasionally HTN.
