Indications/Uses

Abnormal bleeding & its symptoms in hemorrhagic disease, bloody sputum & hemoptysis in pulmonary TB, genital & renal bleeding, bleeding in prostatomegaly, abnormal bleeding during operation, menorrhagia (heavy menstrual bleeding).

Dosage/Direction for Use

Oral Adult 1-2 cap tid or 1 tab tid-qid. Menorrhagia 4 cap or 2 tab tid starting on the 1st day of period for days w/ heavy flow. Inj 250-500 mg/day IM or IV in 1-2 divided doses. During or after operation & if required 500-2,500 mg by IV drip infusion.

Overdosage

Administration

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity. Patients receiving thrombin.

Patient w/ & at risk of thrombosis, consumption coagulopathy, renal failure. Post-op, recumbent ridden patient & patient undergoing astriction. Elderly.

Adverse Reactions

Anorexia, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, diarrhea, itching, rash, drowsiness, headache. Shock, convulsion.

Drug Interactions

May cause thrombosis w/ thrombin or hemocoagulase. May cause thromboembolism w/ batroxobin. Coagulation may be further activated w/ coagulation factor agents (eptacog-α).
