Indications/Uses
Secretory disorders of resp mucosa caused by acute & chronic pneumobronchial diseases; bronchitis, tracheobronchitis, prevention of resp complications from infectious diseases, bronchorrhea, emphysema.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Acute disease Adult 1 cap tds. Childn 6-14 yr 1 cap bd, 2-6 yr ½ cap tds, <2 yr ½ cap in divided doses bd-tds. Chronic disease Adult 1 cap bd. Childn 6-14 yr ½ cap tds. Cystic fibrosis Childn >6 yr 1 cap tds, 2-6 yr ½ cap qds, <2 yr ¼ cap tds.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Special Precautions
Adverse Reactions
Digestive upsets (high doses), gastric discomfort, nausea & diarrhea.
Drug Interactions
Not to be taken w/ another antitussive or any other drug intended to reduce bronchial secretion.
