Indications/Uses
Symptomatic relief of UTI (burning micturition & cystitis in women) in adults. Buffering & neutralizing gastric HCl quickly & effectively. Conditions where long-term maintenance of alkaline urine is desirable in the alleviation of chronic metabolic acidosis eg, chronic renal insufficiency or renal tubular acidosis, when K salts is undesirable.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Burning micturition & cystitis in women Dissolve 1 sachet of granules in a glass of water (around 250 mL), taken tds for 2-3 days or as directed. Systemic alkalization Dissolve ½ sachet of granules in a glass of water (around 250 mL), taken tds for 2-3 days or as directed.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Patients w/ diabetes, heart disease, arterial HTN, renal disease or patients on a low salt diet. Pregnancy & lactation.
Special Precautions
Consult physician if symptoms persist after 2 days of treatment, if necessary.

Drug Interactions
Na-containing prep may increase excretion & reduce plasma levels of lithium.
