Indications/Uses

Prophylaxis of migraine; symptomatic treatment of vestibular vertigo.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Migraine prophylaxis 10 mg at night. Elderly 5 mg daily. Maintenance treatment: Decrease dose to 5 days of treatment at the same daily dose w/ 2 successive medicine-free days every wk. Vertigo Same dosage as for migraine but starting treatment should not be given longer than needed for symptom control (<2 mth).

Administration

May be taken with or without food.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity. History of depressive illness or preexisting symptoms of Parkinson's disease or other extrapyramidal disorders.
